Steam Separators Form an Integral Part of Geothermal Energy Production

Geothermal energy is an important part of the renewable energy resources. The heat pumped out from the earth is available in the form of hot water or steam. Machinery is needed to separate the two and extract the dry heat. Steam separator manufacturers for geothermal power plants manufacture equipment specifically for this purpose. This process is preferred compared to the conventional process of using fossil fuels to produce electricity. Fossil fuels are non-renewable energy sources and several steps are being taken to protect them.

Many power plants are now employing geothermal resources to produce electricity. For this purpose, steam separators are being regularly used to separate the different components. Steam separators are generally used in flash, double flash, and binary geothermal power plants. They are not used in dry steam plants.

How does Corrosion Allowance Increase the Life of Vertical Up-Flow Inline Moisture Separators

Vertical up-flow inline moisture separators serve the same purpose as moisture separators. They help in removing moisture from the steam circulating in the machine. The difference lies in the direction of the gas.

As the name suggests, vertical up-flow inline moisture separators are compatible with steam moving in the upward direction. These separators serve the dual function of eliminating steam and other contaminants from steam to deliver unadulterated dry steam or gas.
